The process, step by step
Free roof inspection
We start with a free, no-obligation inspection at your home. We check shingle age, condition, and structural integrity. We look at granule coverage, flexibility, and any areas of concern.
If your roof is a good candidate for rejuvenation, we tell you which GoNano product fits and provide a written quote. If we find that the roof is too far gone for treatment to be worthwhile, we say that plainly and explain why.
Roof preparation
Before applying the coating, we clear the roof of debris, leaves, and any loose material. If there are areas of minor surface concern noted during the inspection, we address those before the coating goes on.
We also protect gutters and downspouts during the process. GoNano treatments are water-based and non-toxic, so there is no need to cover landscaping or move vehicles, but we take care to keep the work area tidy.
GoNano application
We apply the GoNano product using professional equipment, covering the entire roof surface evenly. The formulation saturates the shingle material through nano-scale particles, which are small enough to bond directly with the asphalt binder rather than sitting on top of it.
The application process is thorough but not disruptive. For most homes, this step takes a few hours.
Cure time
GoNano coatings cure within a few hours under normal conditions. During cure, we ask that people and animals stay off the roof. The rest of your property is unaffected.
The coating is water-based, so light rain after application is not a concern once the initial cure window has passed. We will give you a specific time window based on weather conditions the day of the job.
Final walkthrough
Once the work is complete, we walk you through what was done. We go over the product applied, the coverage area, what to watch for in the weeks ahead, and any follow-up questions you have.
You get a record of the treatment date and product used. That documentation is useful if you ever need to reference the work for insurance purposes or when selling the home.
